Please try to keep your fuel tank to a maximum ¼ tank and if possible an 1/8 tank of gas is ideal. This adds less to the overall weight of the whole load as well as keeping the driver under his trailer’s GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating).
Dont pack your car full with all your belongings. Some transporters will refuse to move your car if there are too many personal belongings inside. Instead utilize a moving truck, or moving company for all your personal belongings. You should not cut a corner here to try to save some money.
Door-to-Door means the driver will get as close to your door as he can legally and safely handle. Many cities have restrictions on large trucks that prohibit them from driving into some residential areas. Transport carriers can be very large and need lots of room to maneuver and turn around. So if access to your home is restricted by narrow streets, low-hanging trees, or dead end streets, the driver may ask that you meet the truck at a large parking lot nearby such as a grocery store. We recommend having a convenient location so that you can give the driver directions to meet you conveniently.
